Terms of Service
Last updated (MM/DD/YYYY): 10/07/2026
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and 33 Studio, a trading name used by an independent developer based in Indonesia (“we”, “us”), governing your use of the Notebox app. By creating an account or using Notebox in any way, you must agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What Notebox is
Notebox is an app made by 33 Studio, letting you create notes from voice recordings, audio uploads, pasted text, and documents. It transcribes audio, generates an AI summary of each note, and on paid plans lets you chat with an AI about an individual note's content. Features, limits, and pricing differ by plan (Free, Pro, Notetaker) and are described in the app.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure.
- You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Notebox. If younger, a parent or guardian must grant you permission to use this app.
3. Your content
- You own what you put into Notebox: your recordings, uploaded files, pasted text, documents, and the notes, transcripts, and summaries generated from them.
- You grant Notebox a limited license to process and transmit Your Content solely to provide the Service. For example, sending audio to our transcription provider, or a note's transcript to our AI provider when you use AI chat. Notebox does not store your raw recordings or uploaded files; only the resulting transcript or text is stored, until you delete it.
- You're responsible for Your Content. Don't upload or record anything you don't have the right to use, including recording other people without their knowledge or consent where the law requires it. Recording-consent laws vary by location; it's your responsibility to follow them, not Notebox's.
- Don't use Notebox for anything illegal, to record or process content that infringes someone else's rights, or to upload malware or attempt to abuse the Service.
4. AI-generated content
Transcripts, summaries, and AI chat replies are generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or wrong. Don't rely on them as the sole record of anything important. Check against the original recording or source when accuracy matters, such as in medical, legal, or financial contexts.
5. Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Paid subscriptions (Pro, Notetaker) are billed monthly and recurring, through the app store you installed Notebox from. That store is the merchant of record for your purchase. It handles your payment details directly, and Notebox never sees or stores your card number.
- Prices and included limits (new notes per month, voice minutes, Notebook space, AI chat “Ink”) are shown in the app. We may change them. If a change affects a plan you are already paying for, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not accept it.
- You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Because the app store is the merchant of record, a subscription is cancelled in that store’s own subscription settings, which the app will take you to.
- Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
- If a payment fails, we may downgrade your account to the Free plan.
6. Usage limits
Each plan has limits on notes, voice minutes and AI chat usage, all shown in the app. We may block an action once a limit is reached, and limits reset each billing period.
Two separate limits apply to notes. The first, new notes this month, counts every note you create in a billing period, and it does not go back down when you delete one, because the transcription and summary were already produced. The second, notes in your Notebook, counts what you currently have saved, and deleting a note frees that space straight away.
When a note cannot be completed, for example an unreadable file, a recording with no speech, or a transcription that fails, Notebox may leave a short entry in your Notebook explaining what happened instead. It uses one note from your quota, and deleting it frees the space like any other note.
7. Termination
- You can stop using Notebox and delete your notes at any time from within the app.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → More → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This immediately cancels any active subscription and closes your account. Your account, every note and all AI chat history are then permanently deleted 14 days later, and that cannot be undone.
- During those 14 days you can sign in again to cancel the deletion, and nothing will have been lost. While the account is closing, its email address cannot be used to create a new account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or where we're required to by law.
8. Service availability
Notebox is provided "as is." We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We're not liable for data loss, though we take reasonable measures to prevent it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 33 Studio isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the courts of Indonesia.
If you use Notebox as a consumer somewhere whose law gives you rights that cannot be given up by agreement, nothing here removes them. This section does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
